Thanksgiving week brought us two different colorways of the Nike KD 8: the PG County option and the Opening Night colorway. After those two releases there hasn’t been any announcements concerning future colorways, but a new colorway has just surfaced.
Today we’re taking a first look at a blacked out version of Kevin Durant’s 8th signature shoe with the Swoosh. The majority of the KD 8 colorways that we’ve seen release have been covered in vibrant colors representing a moment or story from Kevin’s life. However this all-black option goes against the grain and decided to leave the color out. The Flyweave upper is done in Black, Dark Grey and Cool Grey for an almost tonal look. We can also see that the KD logo on the tongue has been hit with 3M detailing that lights up when hit with flash. Last but not least the outsole is done in a marbled look in black and grey similar to the one we saw on the Hunt’s Hill Sunrise colorway.
We currently expect this all-black colorway of the Nike KD 8 to release on December 16th with the usual retail price of $180. What are your thoughts?
It was only a matter of time until we got an all-black colorway of the KD 8. It’s always good to have an all black option because lots of the colorways that have released are very bright and feature colors that need to be matched with the right clothes to look good. You don’t have to worry about that with this all black option.
