From ducks to dogs

Our supporters at Hilton Prague and Hilton Prague Old Town nominated a local charity to receive a Ducks for Change Grant from the Foundation. Pestra Spolecnost provides assistance dogs to young people with disabilities, which help carry out everyday activities to enable the young people to become more independent. The money awarded was raised from the sales of Ducks for Change, and was used by the charity to train Bentley, an assistance dog who now supports a boy called Jakub.

Jakub is a four-year boy who suffers from cerebral palsy, epilepsy and visual impairment. As a result of his disabilities he is not very mobile, has poor vision, and his communication is limited to just a few words. Jakub is currently undergoing intensive speech therapy, physiotherapy and eye care. Bentley has been attending therapy with Jakub and he helps to encourage Jakub, providing therapeutic support and helping Jakub to learn new things.

Recently, the latest instalment of the grant was presented to the charity and Bentley was delighted to visit the hotel together with Jakub and his family, as you can see from the above photos. Every box of Ducks for Change that we sell helps us to support many young people like Jakub to transform their lives. The hotels have raised over €6000 from sales of Ducks for charitable causes.
