In 2015 the Foundation has been delighted to give away over £50,000 in our local Giveaway grants, in association with our supporters around the country. To celebrate, we want to give away even more!
From 2016 the Foundation will support Employability as a theme, building on years of support to numerous training programmes and into-work schemes. Employability has long been of key importance to the Foundation, not least because we are proud to oversee the Galvin’s Chance into-work programme, some of the successful graduates of which are pictured above.
To celebrate this, we are holding a special £5K Giveaway, inviting charities working with disadvantaged young people on specifically employability projects, to apply for support.
Now in their 7th year, the Giveaways have seen more than £251,000 donated to 240 different organisations. Outdoor learning, arts and crafts materials, travel costs, sports equipment, specialist and crisis counselling, therapy and cancer care, refurbishments and resource packs have all be funded through the Giveaways, enabling thousands of young people to benefit directly.
The results of the Giveaway will be announced on 18 December 2015 – please note applications are now closed.
