Our into-work hospitality programme for disadvantaged young people
Galvin’s Chance provides hospitality training, industry visits, a work placement and sustainable employment for young people aged 18-24 who are unemployed and not in education. Initiated by Chris Galvin, Chef Patron and Fred Sirieix at Galvin at Windows restaurant in 2009, the programme offers young people with training and opportunities for a front of house career in some of the most prestigious hotels, restaurants and food service management organisations in London. Through Galvin’s Chance and the opportunities it opens up, our learners are able to gain the skills, confidence and aspiration for a career in the hospitality industry.
With our delivery partner The Springboard Charity, referral partner London CRC and the support of fantastic employers including Galvin Restaurants, Park Plaza, Royal Lancaster London and other top companies, the programme ensures all learners receive mentoring and support, along with skills training, industry qualifications, work experience and employment opportunities. The young people on the programme are able to start careers in the hospitality industry, change their lives for the better and inspire those around them.
