Chocolate auction

chocs_large
Top chefs have come together to make Valentine’s Day a little bit more special for disadvantaged young people.

Fred Sirieix, General Manager of the Michelin-starred restaurant Galvin at Windows, gathered together well-known chefs, bakers and food writers; including Michel Roux Jr, Raymond Blanc OBE and Jamie Oliver, to donate their time and skills to create bespoke chocolate boxes for some lucky people on Valentine’s Day. Valrhona, a prestigious French chocolate company, donated ingredients, which many of the chefs have used in their creations.

The chocolate box auction was called “Chocs for Chance” and ran from 26 January to 5 February online, raising over £7,000 in total to support our into-work programme, Galvin’s Chance.

“Galvin’s Chance is amazing because it is about the industry giving a chance to young people. We believe success is contextual and so if you give people guidance, opportunities and support, they will succeed and that is why we do it” Fred Sirieix said.

Visit the chocs for chance website for more information.

Special thanks to all of our wonderful chefs for their support
