Crossroads Care, Forest of Dean and Herefordshire provides practical help, support and social opportunities to carers and those they care for across all ages and disabilities. Crossroads Care runs Skills Clubs, supported by DM Thomas Foundation for Young People, for children and young people aged 8-16 with high functioning autistic spectrum conditions who, due to past experiences, bullying, their disability, not being fully understood or supported, are unable to attend other out-of-school group activities.
The clubs provide a vibrant, safe and welcoming environment in which children and young people are ABLE to build confidence and self-esteem. They also assist them to meet their full social and academic potential.
We aim to ensure that the young people have fun, make friends and take part in an exciting variety of activities and new experiences. These activities help the young people to become more confident and independent, preparing them for their adult lives.
