The Legacy Rainbow House provides a hands-on educational approach known as Conductive Education for children from birth, young people and adults, who have disabilities, acquired brain injury or life limiting conditions.
The support they give to families from across the North West region (and beyond) enables service users to challenge themselves physically and learn how to achieve life skills that are easily taken for granted, sitting, feeding, walking etc. It helps them to reach their potential in every area of development, enabling them to live more active and independent lives.
The work of The Legacy motivates service users to want to achieve, it gives them the determination, knowledge and belief to be ABLE to advance physically, socially and cognitively.
The support of DM Thomas Foundation has allowed The Legacy to furnish their new Enablement Hub with specialist equipment to help expand services further.
“The Legacy Rainbow House gives my son the opportunity to learn. He is ABLE to do so many things independently, and for that, we are truly grateful. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your support!”
Since 2008, DM Thomas Foundation has awarded The Legacy Rainbow House over £38,000 and most recently, a grant of £9,326.
