Anna’s Challenges is a charity that raises awareness and money for children with cystic fibrosis in Basingstoke and surrounding areas that attend the North Hampshire area.
Children with Cystic fibrosis have intensive daily regimes to keep them as healthy as possible for as long as possible. With support from the Foundation, Anna’s Challenges aims to try and help make the lives of the children and the lives of their families a little bit easier. Since 2013, the Foundation has awarded £3,523 to this cause.
The inspiration behind Anna’s Challenges is Anna, who was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis at four weeks old. Since then she has been under the wonderful team at North Hampshire Hospital. They have looked after Anna and the whole family since day one. Anna has a daily regime of various antibiotics, nebulizers, other medicines and physio to keep her as healthy as possible. Being a typical lively two year old it is very hard to keep her still enough for her physio, which generally lasts for around twenty minutes and which she needs twice a day.
